The charge 5 insanely outperforms the Megaboom 3 in every sound aspect. I definitely think it is time for an upgrade, and some new UE booms should be soon by the end of the year or early next year, i think. It would be nice since i enjoy UE a lot. I have gotten in touch with UE, but they won't tell me anything unfortunately.
After updating the speaker to the current firmware version of 2.0.97 the speaker has a delay of about half a second in sound playback. This is not an issue while playing music, but in the case of videos it is quite upsetting. 5. If the first 4 steps do not solve the problem try applying a factory reset to your UE BOOM. ***Hold down the power button and the volume down button for roughly 10 seconds until you hear a sound. At that point, your device will turn off. Turn it back on and try to pair it to your phone or tablet again.
The Megaboom 3 doesn't have Alexa built-in and there's no Wi-Fi either.
