Keep in mind ES eyepieces used to be much cheaper. Many of them were $100 and I remember the 30mm going on sale for $200 multiple times. So some people might have bought them cheap years ago but eventually they fell out of favor, not enough ER like Morpheus, maybe not as sharp as TV, not as wide as HDC, etc.

After 2 weeks of side by side comparison with a Celestron 8 inch F/6 Starhopper,I sold the Celestar 8 for $750 in an add in the local newspaper.
